FAQ

Where does this Fez to North Morocco tour start and end?

Your journey begins with hotel pickup in Fez at 9:00 AM and concludes in Casablanca with flexible drop-offs at Mohammed V Airport (CMN) or your city hotel. This seamless route covers Chefchaouen, Tangier, Assilah, and Rabat – no backtracking or wasted travel time.

What makes Chefchaouen’s blue medina so special?

Chefchaouen’s blue-washed streets create an otherworldly atmosphere rooted in Jewish and Muslim traditions (some say blue repels mosquitos; others link it to spiritual symbolism). You’ll wander cobalt alleyways draped in bougainvillea, discover artisan workshops selling hand-dyed wool, and photograph iconic staircases like Ras Elma. Choose a guided tour for hidden history or explore solo for uninterrupted magic.

How much time do we spend at Cap Spartel in Tangier?

At Cap Spartel, you’ll experience the dramatic meeting point of the Atlantic and Mediterranean for 45-60 minutes. Stand beside the 1864 lighthouse, feel two seas collide in swirling currents, and gaze toward Spain’s coastline. Your guide shares stories of Phoenician sailors and spy-era intrigue – this windswept cape is Tangier’s geographic showstopper.

Why is Assilah included in northern Morocco tours?

Assilah’s artistic soul sets it apart. Beyond its 15th-century Portuguese ramparts, you’ll find whitewashed walls transformed into open-air galleries by international muralists. Summer brings music festivals; year-round, the Atlantic beachfront promenade buzzes with Gnawa musicians. It’s Morocco’s creative coastal escape – quieter than Essaouira, richer in local charm.

Can we enter the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca?

Absolutely! Your tour includes entrance tickets to Hassan II Mosque, the world’s largest functioning mosque open to non-Muslims. Marvel at its 210m minaret, retractable roof, and glass floors revealing ocean below. Guided tours explain zellige tilework and cedar carvings – a fitting finale showcasing Moroccan architectural genius.
